Richard Smith
Independent Pensions Professional
Richard has been a career pensions professional since 1987, specialising solely in pensions dashboards since 2019. Currently, he is full-time pro bono helping industry prepare for dashboards.
During 2020, Richard led the development of the initial data standards for the Pensions Dashboards Programme. From 2021-2024, he was the specialist Pensions Dashboards Consultant at the PLSA (now Pensions UK). At PensionFusion, the leading ISP connecting to the pensions dashboards ecosystem, Richard authored award-winning large scale personal data matching research.
Richard will be speaking on the latest developments in pensions dashboards.
James Monk
Investment Director, Fidelity International
James steers the external messaging and distribution of FutureWise, the DC Default at Fidelity International. Specializing in strategic relationship management, his role encompasses elevating awareness and sales of FutureWise, while highlighting the benefits of Fidelity’s private asset LTAF and identifying key USPs for Fidelity across the market.
His focus on innovation and collaboration extends to supporting retirement investment propositions, with particular expertise in sustainability. As a technical expert, I foster consultant relationships and ensure Fidelity’s investment philosophy is at the forefront of client interactions.
James will be providing an overview of DC scale and megafunds.
Vivian Matthews (Chair)
Trainee Solicitor, Norton Rose Fulbright
Vivian Matthews is a Trainee Solicitor at Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the world’s leading international law firms. She is currently undertaking her legal training contract, gaining experience across a range of practice areas within the firm.
Sean Campbell
Actuarial Consultant, Spence and Partners
Sean joined Spence & Partners as a graduate in September 2019 and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
He is a key member of the firm’s specialist GMP equalisation team, working closely with pension scheme trustees and sponsors to deliver clear, practical solutions to the complex challenges arising from GMP equalisation. Sean has played a central role in a wide range of equalisation projects for current pension scheme members and now leads the delivery of a major Lloyds 3 project, focusing on the treatment of historic members.
Alongside his GMP equalisation work, Sean supports a range of defined benefit (DB) pension schemes on actuarial matters, including valuations and insurance transactions. He also leads the actuarial support for Spence’s Charity and Not-for-Profit practice, working primarily with clients participating in the LGPS and SHAPS schemes.
Sean will be speaking on GMP Equalisation.
Chris Rice
Head of Trustee Services, Broadstone
Chris Rice is a UK-based actuary and pensions consultant, currently serving as Head of Trustee Services at Broadstone. He is known for his expertise in defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, trustee advisory, and risk management within the UK pensions industry.
