SPP Pensions Update: Birmingham Event

You are invited to join us in Birmingham for the SPP’s first Midlands regional event, which will provide a high level review of the latest developments in pensions. This session is designed to support pension professionals in staying informed on key current issues across DB, CDC and with a legal update. The session will be followed by an opportunity to network with peers over drinks and refreshments.

Jeremy Clack
Head of Midlands Advisory, Broadstone
Jeremy is a Scheme Actuary and corporate pensions advisor with over 20 years’ industry experience. He joined Broadstone in 2023, having spent nearly 20 years at WTW and, as Head of Midlands Advisory, is responsible for the overall success of Broadstone’s Redditch and Birmingham offices. He also has particular responsibility for Broadstone’s De-Risking and Endgame Solutions team which works on specialist endgame projects, including for the PPF. He has been a Scheme Actuary for over a decade, advising schemes ranging from £5m to £5bn across a broad range of industries.
Robbie Tink
Senior Consulting Actuary, Howden
Robbie is a Scheme Actuary with 12 years of experience across many areas of defined benefit pensions work. He leads Howden’s CDC group as well as contributing to SPP and PASA CDC working groups. Robbie’s technical actuarial and problem-solving skills enable him to find innovative solutions to novel challenges – he is keen to apply this approach to answer questions that prospective employers, providers and members have about CDC schemes as they move from theory to reality.
Katie Ivens (Chair)
Partner, Pinsent Masons LLP
Katie is Head of the Birmingham Pensions Team at Pinsent Masons, and is an experienced pensions partner with a strong track record of advising trustees and providers on complex pension matters, both DB and DC. Katie was shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year at the 2025 Women in Pensions Awards.
