Madalena Cain
Associate Partner, Aon
Maddie is head of DC Governance at Aon and has over 20 years’ experience advising trustees and companies on pensions matters.
Maddie is a regular contributor to Aon’s policy development in the DC market as well as liaising with regulators and policy makers on a range of issues that are key to the continued development of DC as the predominant basis of future financial provision in the UK.
Maddie sits on both the SPPs DC sub-committee and the ACA’s DC sub-committee.
Katie Bromley
Principal, Mercer
Katie is an actuary and consultant with 30 years experience working in pensions. She is currently part of Mercer’s Policy, Professionalism and Research group keeping trustees and employers up to date on legislative, regulatory and market developments and helping them understand what it means for their schemes.
Katie is Deputy Chair of SPP’s DB Committee.
David James
Partner, Travers Smith LLP
David is a highly experienced pension partner and provides advice to the trustees and employers of some of the largest occupational pension schemes in the UK. He also advises on corporate transactions involving UK pension arrangements.
David advises on both defined benefit and defined contribution pension arrangements and has particular expertise in relation to guided retirement solutions and consolidation in the DC space.
David is Deputy Chair of SPP’s DC Committee.
Chris Ramsey
Partner and Head of DB Endgame, Barnett Waddingham LLP
Much of Chris’s time is spent helping trustees and sponsors develop long term strategies, risk management frameworks and de-risking plans – ultimately helping them achieve their goals. He also has significant experience of member options/liability management projects.
Chris is Head of DB Endgame Consulting, meaning he is responsible for ensuring our consultants are well placed to advise clients on their long-term journey to their chosen objective (for example, buy-out), both from a financial and practical perspective. He is also the consultant leading the development of our Illuminate system and focusses on ensuring it helps our clients make good long-term strategic decisions.
Chris is Immediate Past Chair of SPP’s DB Committee.
