  • Providing a general introduction to the key LG elements, including Fit for Future.

  • Explore Pooling, what it means for the schemes and what its repercussions may be.

  • Consider changes to governance, including investment oversight, including statutory guidance on responsible investment and Fiduciary Duty.

Ian Colvin

Senior Consultant, Governance Administration and Projects, Hymans Robertson LLP

Ian has over 15 years’ experience working for LGPS pension funds, and is well versed in the issues faced by administering authorities. He advises clients on technical and regulatory matters as well as how to maximise the value of good governance.

As a well-known presence in the LGPS world, Ian has spoken on LGPS issues at numerous national events.

Tim Domanski (Chair)

Actuarial Consultant, Isio

Tim is a highly experienced pensions actuary, with 15 years of experience specialising in public sector pensions. His expertise includes a range of pension schemes, such as USS, LGPS, TPS, NHS, SATs, SHPS, and more. With a strong track record of providing expert advice to a variety of clients in the public sector, including universities, housing associations and independent schools, his work focuses on all aspects of public sector pensions, including actuarial valuations, funding negotiations, benefit design, and member engagement.
