We are delighted to invite you to the in-person element of the SPP’s 2026 Conference, being hosted in-person only at the London office of A&O Shearman.

This session will feature three sessions: 

Investment strategies for pensions of the future
As pensions policy, design and the needs of pensioners change, investment strategy must evolve with it. This session brings together DB and DC perspectives to explore how investment approaches need to change to support new models of provision, risk sharing and decumulation. We will consider how schemes can position portfolios to deliver long term objectives in a world of heightened economic uncertainty, market volatility and structural change, and what this means for trustees, sponsors and advisers in practice

Future pathways to equity in pensions

Tomorrow’s industry professionals
What will explore what it means to be a successful pensions professional in the future. This session looks beyond today’s job titles to explore how roles across advice, administration, investment and covenant are likely to evolve. We will discuss the impact of technology and artificial intelligence, changing trustee expectations and the growing focus on judgement, ethics and value add. The panel will consider how we ensure our pensions professions remains trusted, relevant and attractive for the next generation and beyond.

After these sessions, there will be an opportunity to relax and meet colleagues over drinks.
