Iain McLellan

Director, Isio

Iain is a consulting actuary and Director at Isio with over 25 years of experience advising on all aspects of pensions, with a particular focus on pension scheme funding and risk management.   As well as acting as Scheme Actuary to a variety of trustee clients he advises a range of organisations on managing their pension arrangements (from large multi-billion pound to small single-million pound schemes).

He is also responsible for Isio’s national Pensions Research and Development team. This means he is at the forefront of developments in the pensions industry, responding to government consultations and engaging directly with regulators and policymakers.  Externally, his professional volunteering includes serving as Deputy Chair of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ Pensions Board, Deputy Chair of the Society of Pensions Professionals’ CDC Committee and is a member of the Association of Consulting Actuaries Pension Schemes Committee.

Stewart Patterson

Senior Director, LifeSight, Willis Towers Watson

Stew is responsible for leading the discovery and design of some of the most significant areas of innovation and future developments for LifeSight, WTW’s £27bn DC master trust.  LifeSight’s ambitious target is securing better pension outcomes for people all over the country, and a lot of Stew’s focus is currently around decumulation solutions and support for members making their retirement decisions.  Stew has previously had a variety of roles in WTW, including scheme actuary appointments to a number of DB schemes as well as leading a specialist derisking team, before joining the LifeSight team in 2021.
