Jack Sharman
Principal, Barnett Waddingham LLP
Jack is a scheme actuary with particular expertise in innovations in the risk settlement market, having been closely involved in Barnett Waddingham’s work in relation to capital-backed consolidation vehicles since their inception. He was lead adviser on the landmark transaction between the Church Mission Society Pension Scheme and Clara-Pensions, a first-of-its-kind ‘connected covenant’ superfund transfer.
Jack Gillions
Senior Associate, Burges Salmon LLP
Jack is a senior associate in the Pensions and Lifetime Savings team at Burges Salmon. He works on a wide range of DC and DB matters for both trustees and employers. He has a particular interest in pensions investment matters, including illiquid investments for DC schemes and ESG issues. He also has experience working on projects such as liability management, bulk transfers, buy-ins / buy-outs and alternatives to buy-out.
Demi Ho
Business Develolment Manager, Clara-Pensions
Demi is a member of the Business Development team at Clara-Pensions. Demi’s focus is on supporting the transaction process for schemes looking to transfer their members to Clara. She is also responsible for implementing Clara’s business development strategy and fostering Clara’s strategic relationships with industry stakeholders. Demi started her career at LCP as a pensions consultant and is a qualified actuary.
Jonathan Hazlett (Chair)
Managing Director, Open Trustees
Jonathan is the Managing Director of Open Trustees and is fully accredited as a professional trustee by the Association of Professional Pension Trustees. He sits as the professional independent trustee on a wide range of pension schemes which are either ongoing in nature, or going through the Pension Protection Fund’s (“PPF”) assessment period.
He has over 15 years’ experience as a professional trustee and has been a qualified lawyer for over 20 years. He is also head of Osborne Clarke’s pensions team, and was previously a member of the Department for Work and Pensions steering committee on incentive exercises.
