Ben Fisher (Chair)
Partner and Head of Bristol Office, XPS Pensions Group
Ben is an Actuary and Partner at XPS group, where he joined as a trainee nearly 19 years ago. He mainly provides advice to Trustees, and is Scheme Actuary to several schemes, ranging in size from £4m to £1.5bn assets under management. Ben also heads up XPS’s Bristol office, a role he took on in 2023, having moved back to his hometown of Bristol after 20 years living away.
Hannah Hillier
Senior Associate, Mercer Limited
Hannah has 11 years experience in scheme secretarial and governance and provides advice to a range of DB Trustee boards. Her focus recently has been on guiding clients through compliance with the General Code including preparing for their first own risk assessment. Other recent work includes support for scheme mergers, buy-outs and management of pension dashboard connection projects.
Chris Crighton
Partner, TLT LLP
Chris is an experienced pensions lawyer, dual-qualified in both England & Wales and Northern Ireland, advising employers and trustees throughout the UK on all aspects of pensions law. He advises clients in both the private and public sectors, with specialist expertise in the pensions aspects of employee transfers and on scheme funding issues. He also advises on pensions governance and investment matters, as well as dispute resolution cases (including Pensions Ombudsman referrals).
Jennifer Flanagan
Principal, Senior Client Relationship Manager, Barnett Waddingham LLP
Jeni is a Principal, Senior Client Relationship Manager and Head of Barnett Waddingham’s DC Audit Group. She provides advice to a wide range of large corporate and trustee bodies in relation to their Defined Contribution (DC) workplace pension arrangements,. This includes scheme design, restructures, ongoing governance, member engagement and risk management.
