Nikhil is an experienced adviser in the risk transfer market, providing advice to trustees and sponsors on full scheme buy-in and buy-out transactions of all sizes. This includes advising on endgame strategy and the preparation, approach to market and implementation of these transactions.
Andrew Shaposhnikov, Senior Deal & Pricing Manager, Aviva
Andrew is a pensions and investment actuary with over fifteen years of experience in a consulting environment advising occupational pension schemes and their sponsors on all aspects of funding and investment strategy. In 2023 he joined Aviva Bulk Purchase Annuity team and is currently leading it Aviva Clarity proposition helping well-prepared schemes of all sizes to secure member benefits via a simple, robust, and efficient process.
Samantha Brown, Managing Partner of EPI (West), Herbert Smith Freehills
Samantha Brown is a Partner in and head of the Herbert Smith Freehills London Pensions team, whose practice encompasses a wide range of pensions matters, advising corporates, trustees, providers and other pensions stakeholders. Samantha has extensive experience in the pensions buy out field and in the associated areas of benefit design and liability management, as well as on the pensions aspects of corporate activity. In the contentious space, she also advises both claimants and defendants on High Court disputes and declaratory proceedings and on matters before the Pensions Ombudsman.
Alison Longman FIA C.Act, Senior Consulting Actuary, Gallagher Benefit Services (Chair)
Alison is a Scheme Actuary with experience of advising Trustees of pension schemes at all stages of their funding journey. In addition, as a member of Gallagher’s risk transfer team, Ali is able to provide her clients with the oversight of, and help to implement, the steps required for a bulk annuity transaction.
